Matthew Tsun is an Associate at Simeone & Miller, LLP where he handles personal injury, commercial litigation and family law matters. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. Prior to joining Simeone & Miller, Mr. Tsun worked as a volunteer attorney at Legal Services of Northern Virginia where he handled family law matters.

Mr. Tsun has represented clients in a variety of cases, including complex premises liability matters, legal malpractice, motor vehicle accidents resulting in significant injuries, business disputes, divorce, custody, and child support. He regularly appears in court in the District of Columbia and throughout Virginia, and has conducted jury trials, mediations, and arbitrations. He also has significant experience in all other phases of the litigation process including discovery, depositions, and working with expert witnesses on complicated issues. He has successfully resolved numerous cases with complex medical issues and complicated fact patterns.

Mr. Tsun was part of the legal team that obtained a $300,000 settlement on behalf of the driver of a vehicle pushed into a concrete wall by a Greyhound bus. He worked extensively with his client’s treating physician to obtain proof that the client’s complex injuries, which included a deep vein thrombosis, were caused by the accident. He also represented a woman who fell at an apartment complex and suffered significant damages due to poor lighting and a lack of a handrail. That case required significant work with an expert witness in architecture and extensive discovery.

Mr. Tsun is a 2012 graduate of Emory University School of Law where he was a member of the national moot court team and competed in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Prior to law school, he worked as a legal assistant with Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC. He graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor of arts in history in 2008.
