Michael Robinett

Mr. Robinett is a partner with Simeone & Miller, LLP where he works on a variety of personal injury matters, including car accidents, civil rights, and premises liability. Mr. Robinett joined Simeone & Miller, LLP in 2007.

Notable Case Results

Mr. Robinett has litigated several complex cases in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. His jury verdicts have ranked amongst the highest verdicts obtained in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, where such verdicts are tracked and published. Specifically, Mr. Robinett obtained the highest jury verdict in a premises liability case in 2011, the 5th highest jury verdict in an automobile negligence case in 2012, and the highest jury verdict in a premises liability case in 2014. Mr. Robinett has obtained several jury verdicts in excess of the final settlement offer from the insurance company and, in some cases, in excess of a Defendant’s insurance policy limits.

In addition to his outstanding trial results, Mr. Robinett has successfully represented clients in appellate cases in the Court of Special Appeals in Maryland.

Educational Achievements

Mr. Robinett is a 2005 graduate of The George Washington University Law School, where he was a quarter-finalist in the Mock Trial competition and participated in the Street Law program, through which he taught legal issues to school children in Washington, D.C. He earned a B.A. in History from the University of California at Berkeley in 2002, where he studied American History and wrote his thesis on the American Civil Rights movement. Prior to joining Simeone & Miller, LLP in 2007, Mr. Robinett worked with the ACLU’s National Prison Project on a high-profile federal civil rights case.

Mr. Robinett is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of the District of Columbia and Maryland. Mr. Robinett lives in the District of Columbia with his wife and two daughters.
