Courtney Ebersohl works as a paralegal at Simeone & Miller, LLP. She assists the attorneys in matters related to pre-litigation, litigation, and settlement negotiation for a variety of personal injury cases, including automobile accidents and premise liability. She has experience setting up claims, contacting witnesses, ordering medical bills and records, and preparing a case for settlement or litigation. For cases that do result in litigation, she assists in preparing discovery and assists the client and the firm’s attorneys in all other aspects of a case.
She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2019 summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Bachelor of Arts in French, and a minor in Art History. She studied for seven months at the Universite de Caen researching the effects of post-World War II Reconstruction on French identity. Her passions for writing, analysis, and American history of race and gender led to her Honors Baccalaureate Thesis, “Hostility, Paternalism, and Resistance: Visions of Freedom in Post-Civil War Fairfax County, Virginia (1865 – 1872).” She has published twice in the peer reviewed Virginia Tech Undergraduate Historical Review on topics related to race and gender during the Civil War era. She hopes to attend law school in the D.C. area.
