Eric N. Geringer is a paralegal at Simeone & Miller, LLP. He is a 2020 graduate from the University of South Carolina, where he majored in Political Science. His major had a dual focus in political theory and legal studies, and he additionally earned minors in both business administration and history. He hopes to attend law school in the future.
Eric worked at multiple law firms during his time as an undergraduate prior to joining our firm. As a legal intern for Yeager and Etkind, he drafted/edited legal documents and conducted legal research for immigration-based cases. He additionally worked as a legal specialist at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, where he provided legal and administrative support to multiple practice groups, including litigation, corporate law, and healthcare. Beyond his work experience, Eric has played the role of a witness in a national mock trial competition and spent his senior year of college as the community service chair for the pre-law academic fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. He was also a member of the political science honor society Pi Sigma Alpha and was additionally active in multiple on-campus political organizations.
Since joining Simeone & Miller, Eric has advised and assisted clients throughout all the stages of their case, including pre-litigation, settlement negotiation, and litigation. He has worked on a wide variety of cases, including automobile accidents, premises liability, medical/legal malpractices, and other personal injury matters. Eric corresponds with insurance companies, police departments, and healthcare providers to set up insurance claims, obtain police reports, and request medical bills/records. He also works closely with attorneys, helping them complete case intakes, prepare discovery, draft settlement demands, answer interrogatories, and produce various other legal documents.
