Ruth Urquhart is an Associate at Simeone & Miller, LLP. She has substantial litigation experience, including drafting orders, pleadings, motions, demand letters, and discovery documents.
Ms. Urquhart is a graduate of George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. While in law school, she made a point to diversify her experience to ensure a broad level of legal expertise, working in her school’s Immigration Litigation Clinic as a student attorney, participating in journal management, and serving in an elected position as the Student Bar Association’s Honor Chair. Ms. Urquhart was heavily involved in Trial Advocacy—competing, coaching, and serving as the Executive Vice President. In addition to volunteer experience, Ms. Urquhart worked for the National Juvenile Defender Center, the Arlington County Circuit Court Judicial Chambers, the Fairfax Public Defender’s Office, and a boutique law firm in Alexandria, Virginia.
Prior to law school, Ms. Urquhart earned a master’s degree in public health from the University of Utah. While earning that degree, Ms. Urquhart developed and implemented two international health programs: a program to increase healthcare access for remote communities near Kpong, Ghana; and a program to increase legal literacy among women in Punjab, India.
Ms. Urquhart is a passionate advocate for her clients, seeking to increase access to justice and reach the most favorable outcome possible.
