After you were involved in an accident, you should be very, very careful about what you post on social media.
Moreover, you should be very careful what you say to anybody other than your lawyer about the accident and your injuries.
Anything you say to anybody other than your lawyer is available to the public, and social media makes it that much easier to get.
This works both ways. We've actually had cases where we will investigate what the person we're making a claim against put on social media, and I've had cases where I've actually used that information in a demand letter because they've admitted fault or made some other statement that was very helpful to us in pursuing our case.
That same thing can be used against a plaintiff.
So be very careful not to discuss the accident or your injuries on social media.
Talk to your lawyer if you ever need to post something, and they can review that to make sure it doesn't hurt your case.
